The goal of our quality management system is to continually improve our production, as well as ensure the highest quality end product to our customers. This system entails quality objectives such as management reviews, employee training, internal audits, machine maintenance, tool calibration, process sheets, lean manufacturing, five S, Kanban, kaizen, and process validation.
Microtech has developed and maintains a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Microtech Welding Corp. has also recently achieved its certification for showing compliance with ISO 13485:2016. This is a major step up in our quality system, moving towards this higher standard of quality.
Welder Certifications
All Mircotech welders begin with entry-level certifications and are advanced through additional training programs to achieve AWS standard D17.1 qualification. This aerospace-grade standard ensures our operators are capable of producing high-integrity welds across a wide range of critical applications.

Laser Beam Welding (LBW)
We also maintain specialized certifications for titanium and aluminum welding, supporting complex projects in medical, aerospace, and high-performance manufacturing.
Our welders are skilled in laser welding, micro GTAW, GTAW, plasma arc welding. silver soldering, GMAW. and metal sectioning.
Metal Sectioning Lab
We use our metal sectioning lab to better support the customer and for continuous improvement. We possess the ability to section, polish, and accurately measure weld penetration.
Our metal sectioning lab is used to develop a process to fulfill our customers’ needs and meet print requirements, saving them valuable time and money. We use state-of-the-art sectioning, polishing, and magnification equipment to develop an extremely accurate weld quality and penetration view.
Development Support
We can assist with product development during the design phase all the way to full welding production. Additionally, we can consult on weld symbol interpretations, joint design, and process choice, leveraging our over 200 years of welding experience among our team.
