Night Shift Welders

Available: 2nd Shift 

Performance Exceptions:
  • Learn & observe all operating and safety procedures for welding equipment and tasks required for cutting and welding 
  • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure 
  • Must be able to multi-task with flexibility of duties to be performed
Job Description:
  • Reading blueprints, interpreting instructions, prints, work orders for various welding jobs 
  • Operate welding equipment and machinery or assist with other machine operators 
  • Assist in fabrication equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various materials 
  • Assist in cleaning and preparing surfaces to be welded 
  • Assist in using burning equipment to dismantle assemblies; operate oxyacetylene cutting equipment 
  • Quality inspection, per Microtech training 
  • Other duties as assigned, some overtime is required
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Working towards/Completed High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Skills:
  • Background in welding through a cooperative education 
  • Work experience in aluminum welding, plasma arc welding, metal sectioning lab, TIG 
  • Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance 
  • Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills 
  • Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass
