History
Microtech Welding Corp. is dedicated to high-quality and leading-edge technologies in the metal joining processes.

Our Foundation
Microtech Welding Corp. was founded in 1997 and incorporated in early 1998 by Robert (Bob) Christman and his wife, Melissa Christman. When the Christmans discovered micro welding technology in the late 1990s, they recognized an opportunity to create something different from traditional welding operations.
Rather than operating as an industrial-style welding shop, Microtech functions more like a precision laboratory. This approach has enabled the company to serve demanding industries, including biomedical, tool and die, automotive, aerospace, and numerous other sectors requiring micro-precision welding capabilities.
From its origins as a two-person operation, Microtech has evolved into a multi-faceted welding operation with facilities in Fort Wayne and Warsaw, Indiana.
NA Holding Acquisition
In 2017, N.A. Holding Corporation acquired Microtech Welding Corp. with a vision for long-term growth and continued success. Under this new ownership, Microtech has continued to expand its capabilities while maintaining the laboratory-like precision and quality standards established by the original founders.

Microtech's Growth Under N.A. Holding
Since the 2017 acquisition by N.A. Holding Corporation, Microtech Welding has strategically expanded its capabilities and capacity to meet growing demand. The company has enhanced its operations at both Fort Wayne and Warsaw locations, investing in additional equipment and expanding its team of AWS D17.1 certified welders.
Microtech's metal sectioning lab continues to be a key differentiator, allowing the development of custom welding processes to fulfill customers' specific needs and meet print requirements, saving valuable time and money. State-of-the-art sectioning, polishing, and magnification equipment provide extremely accurate weld quality and penetration analysis.
Today, Microtech serves customers nationwide through enhanced shipping and supply chain processes, offering efficient and reliable micro welding services, including GTAW, LBW, aluminum welding, and precision tool welding capabilities.
Our Locations
Fort Wayne
Our Fort Wayne headquarters operates from a 12,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art precision welding facility, expanded from the original 7,500 sq. ft. in 2013 to meet growing demand. The facility houses multiple GTAW stations equipped with high-powered microscopes and specialized welders. Our laser beam welding (LBW) department features advanced CNC-capable machines for complex automated processes. This facility serves as our primary production center and houses our metal sectioning laboratory.

Warsaw
Established in 2005, our Warsaw location provides full laser and GTAW capabilities with a focus on rapid turnaround times for prototype development and small to medium production runs. The facility's proximity to Indiana's medical device corridor allows for close collaboration with development teams during prototyping and production.
