Last week, Microtech Welding, a subsidiary of NA Holding, participated in the annual Manufacturing Day event hosted by ARCH Medical Solutions - Warsaw.  The event aimed to inspire the next generation of manufacturers by showcasing stages of the manufacturing process.

Engaging with Future Manufacturers

Representatives from Microtech had the opportunity to interact with approximately 165 local high school students throughout the day.  Our company’s booth was part of a "Meet and Greet" session where students could learn about various aspects of the orthopedic manufacturing industry.

Our team engaged students in discussions about:

  • Various types of welding techniques used in medical device manufacturing
  • The role of precision welding in creating high-quality orthopedic implants
  • Career opportunities in specialized welding and related fields

In addition to showcasing Microtech’s capabilities, the team also provided insights into other manufacturing and welding-related companies under the NA Holding umbrella.  This gave students a broader perspective on the diverse career paths available within the manufacturing sector.

Sparking Curiosity in Modern Manufacturing

In Warsaw, Indiana – known as the "Orthopedic Capital" – Microtech Weld and other local companies are doing more than just demonstrating their technology.  They're inspiring the next generation of manufacturing professionals, showing students the exciting possibilities within the industry.  These hands-on experiences and face-to-face conversations with industry professionals can be truly impactful for students considering their future careers.

As the manufacturing landscape evolves, events like these play a crucial role in bridging the skills gap and ensuring a strong pipeline of talent.  We hope that by participating, Microtech can be a part of inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers who will drive the industry forward, helping to secure a bright future for manufacturing in Warsaw and beyond.
