Career Academy Fair 2024

Microtech Welding Corp. alongside sister company, Shar Systems, exhibited at the Career Academy's Welding/Manufacturing Career Fair on February 20th.  Our representatives included production manager Mike – a 25 year welding instructor veteran, and welder Jose – who came to Microtech through the Career Academy program in 2018.

We offered students a first-hand look into life at Microtech through visuals, hands-on displays, and personal stories.  From competitive wages to growth opportunities, we highlighted what we think makes careers in welding so rewarding.  Events like these allow us to get youth excited about the skilled trades that companies like us depend on.

We thank the Career Academy for organizing this event and allowing us the opportunity to engage with bright young students.  It was a privilege to provide them a glimpse into manufacturing careers and potentially inspire their future paths. With events like these, companies like ours can play a small part in guiding these young minds towards stable welding jobs right here in Fort Wayne.
